Williton Pavilion

The project involved the construction of a new community building, referred to locally as the pavilion. The building constructed is circa 600sqm floor area in total, the majority of it is at ground floor level which accommodates the main hall, changing rooms, toilets, kitchen, meeting room, plant room and storage. Access to an upper level is provided by stairs and a lift which has a meeting room and viewing area for the main hall together with store room and disabled access toilet.

 As part of the project the main access to the Memorial Ground was widened and improved. This allowed for vehicular access to the pavilion for loading and unloading and two disabled parking spaces, as well as providing better access to the new building and Memorial Ground for all. 

Also as part of the work the existing storage building and changing rooms are were altered with part of the building being demolished and the remaining part converted into additional storage with a public disabled toilet facility. 

Landscaping around the new building has been supplemented, with a new path linking the new pavilion to the war memorial and the old changing rooms building.
