Court Fields School – Dining Project

Facilities Refurbishment - New Build Extension

Comprehensive School Redevelopment -Transforming Facilities for Learning, Performance, and Community Use

This comprehensive school redevelopment project for Court Fields School transformed existing spaces to create modern, flexible, and high-performing educational facilities. The former sports hall was converted into a new multi-purpose assembly hall, designed to accommodate school assemblies, dining, and physical education activities. This transformation has provided the school with a versatile space that supports both everyday use and special events.

The existing dining hall underwent a full refurbishment, improving functionality, finishes, and circulation routes to enhance the dining experience and support increased student capacity. The new-build extension added a purpose-designed dance studio, significantly strengthening the school’s performing arts provision and giving students access to professional-grade facilities.

To support the growing focus on STEM education, two existing classrooms were converted into fully equipped science laboratories. These labs were fitted with specialist services and equipment to meet the latest teaching and safety standards, creating an inspiring environment for practical science learning.

The project was carefully phased and delivered within a live school environment, requiring detailed programming, sequencing, and close collaboration with school staff. Temporary circulation routes and facilities were implemented to maintain safety and ensure teaching could continue uninterrupted throughout construction.
